WE ASKED 4 LOCAL K-12 TEACHERS FOR THE BASIC INGREDIENTS OF MEXICAN CHICKEN LIME SOUP. HERE ARE THEIR ANSWERS

We interviewed 4 local K-12 school teachers about the basic ingredients of the popular midweek dinner, Mexican chicken lime soup. Here are their recipes!

TOBY: ‘I guess it has tortillas and water and some tequila in it, I mean it is Mexican.’

MARISSA: ‘Chicken, lime, and a little Mexican.’

RUPERT: ‘I don’t know what you are talking about, but I can give you my recipe for sloppy joes.’

TAMARA: ‘Yeah, you chop then sautée garlic and onion, lightly fry pieces of chicken breast on both sides, cover with four cups of water, half a cup of lime juice, and a half cup of chicken broth. Reduce, salt to taste, and garnish with strips of tortilla, avocado, and chopped cilantro.’

We went home and made sloppy joes.
