THE APATHY OF DISTANCE
A human’s holdings
may extend temporariness
throughout their village.
Past the yellow sign post,
across fields of optimism
climbing ever higher
higher than rational thought,
higher even than the unrepentant
only to be dissimulated, unobserved.
In Response To An Editor’s Whimsy
That’s right, there are
some tough looking kids
in the neighborhood.
So far I have managed
to avoid them.
I’ll see what they say
regarding your unusual request.
If a no-show
at our compromise,
my besty still possesses
a remarkable Rottweiler
whom I confer with regularly
and has memorized my scent.
Tendencies: a savaging of
the East Palo Altos.
The Physics of Bailing Up
‘An object in motion
tends to stay in motion,
an object at rest
tends to stay at rest.’
After that it gets a bit tricky.
Like considering a name change
to the immediate Van Der Meer.
So instead of Old Sock
put another log on the fire,
it’s proceduralized to Van Der Meer
lend me 5000 nicker.
