ALL WORK AND NO PLAY

Dear Mr. Torrance,
The editorial staff has reviewed your submission, All Work and No Play. We admire your sustained use of repetition and deprivation as twin engines of meaning. Your concrete poetry recalls the best postwar minimalist experimentations of Warhol, Burroughs, and LeWitt, echoing Hannah Arendt’s maxim that WORK itself is defined by repetition and endurance, not by the product itself.
We are pleased to accept All Work and No Play for publication, pending contract and scheduling. The piece is strongest in its present state and does not require revisions.
Sincerely,
D.L.
