Ever since she was small they had warned her of the dangers of putting a balloon on the end of a stick, whether tied or taped. Yesterday afternoon at approximately 4 pm, she paid the price of ignoring their warnings, and was last seen flying over rooftops near Peoria Heights.
‘Eventually the balloon will lose helium and she will gently drop from the sky,’ explained local meteorologist Geoff Rasbaldi. ‘The fear is that she will strike a clocktower or the balloon will be knocked from the end of the stick by a flock of birds, or she will lose her grip and fall.’
Indeed many unpleasant possibilities await a person who puts a balloon on the end of a stick.
