As thousands abandoned their houses and traveled north in response to a call for evacuation Hurricane Elmo made landfall in eastern Florida late last night. Surprisingly the havoc it was expected to wreak on the mostly just trailer parks and circus tents and carnival rides in that part of the state did not come about, probably because well to be honest we just made Hurricane Elmo up.
That’s right, this is a Category 5, 300-mile wide storm with 120-mile-an-hour winds that does not exist.
