Says Captain Todd:
No joke guys, I mean seriously one of the biggest factors that can affect the flightpath of an aircraft while crossing entire oceans is wind. You see, since aircraft flightpaths usually are not exactly aligned with wind direction, to maintain course during flight, constant compensation for both wind direction and wind speed is necessary. This is known as ‘wind effect’ and that is what I am talking about.
We tried unsuccessfully to talk about movies. We tried unsuccessfully to talk about lawn care. We tried unsuccessfully to talk about inflation and war. Once Captain Todd gets loaded, it’s all shop talk and the night is pretty much over.
