In 1950s London the widow of Mr. Colten Fagen, whom we also meet briefly, decides on a mad whim to pursue her dream of joining the Carnival on Ice Parade in Copenhagen, Denmark. After working and scrimping to raise the money for the trip, she embarks on a wonderful adventure in which she unintentionally saves the world with her lower-class charm and irrepressible good spirit.
