PUGS ON RUGS: SIDEWINKLE HEAD OVER HEELS

Gorko Entertainment Editor Mitchell Kennedy has been hard at work in our shared bathroom on a series of YA science fiction novels called Pugs On Rugs. Yes, Mitchell LOVES dogs. After all, his only friend in the world is a small white puppy named @Todd. Below are sneak previews of Pugs On Rugs #14 and #15.

PUGS ON RUGS #14: SIDEWINKLE HEAD OVER HEELS

#14 is actually #1, it just looks better to start in double digits, MK explained to The Gorko. Fine. The first installment follows the protagonist Sidewinkle, a boy pug and extreme grinch at that, as against his better judgement he falls head over heels in love with Grins Maher, a Peoria Dog Show starlet whose bite is just as sassy as her bark! It is a story of Sidewinkle chasing tail.

PROGRESS TO DATE: Mitchell spent some time in jail and then at various hearings after attempting unsuccessfully to dognap Grins Maher (Grins to her friends — Mrs. Mable Maher is her owner) ‘to use for authentic dialogue’.

PUGS ON RUGS #15: SIDEWINKLE YOU SHRUNK THE PUGS

In the delightfully corny Pugs On Rugs #15 Sidewinkle the Scientist invents a shrinking machine, originally intended for garbage disposal, and then accidentally shrinks the pugs! In order to save the pugs Sidewinkle the Scientist is forced to shrink himself, and cross the backyard! It is a zany adventure that rips off the 1989 blockbuster Honey I Shrunk the Kids line for line from start to end. Yes even the jokes are all the same.

PROGRESS TO DATE: This one practically wrote itself! It is finished.
