My Vision Is Always Vivid And Blurry Not
My Ears Are Always Wide Open And Well Clean
I Saw It, I Saw Something With My Naked Eyes
I Saw It When My Eyes Were Either Closed Or Open
I Heard It From A Distance Approaching Me
I Felt Its Presence Reaching My Spirit Within Me They Said I Was A Fruitcake And Thinking Out Loud
I Was Making It Up, I Should Quit Smoking Weed
Whatsoever I Saw It Doesn’t Breathe In This World
They Never Believed Me Thus I Felt Lonely
I Would Cry Every-time It Pays Me A Visit Alone
I Don’t Know How To Delineate It Yet It’s Hair-raising They Took Me To A Rehab After Several Hospitals
I Was Just Doing Fine For The First 3 Days
Yet That Was Neither An Escape Nor Solution
It Kept On Thoroughly Following Me Even In My Sleep
It Made It Clear To Me It’ll Haunt Me Wherever I Go
I Wish I Knew What It Want Because I Got Nothing To Offer

They Say My Skin Is Black, Bold And Beautiful
I Should Never Ever Be Ashamed Of My Skin
I Looked At The Mirror All I See Is An Opposite Fitful
I See Myself Covered With A Hateful Coat Kin
Everywhere I Go They Look My Scars With Those Eyes
It’s Like They See An Animal Incarnate Moving Around
I Never Wanted To Hide My Skin Yet I Had To Capsize
I Wore Tattoos To Cover My Whole Body Unconfined
Underneath My Tattoos There’s Scars, Pain And Anger
I Have Done This To Myself To Avoid Interrogations
Yet I Receive Compliments As An Enchanter
Yet Questions After Questions Like A Lost Sheep Of Perturbations
Ever Since I’m Disguised My God Has Forsaken My Soul
All I Wanted Was To Be Free From Criticisms Yet I’m Burning In Hot Coals

THEE GENERATION

Beliefs have brought havoc in all humankind
Beliefs have split the world into spiral segments
Cultures carries underestimated demons of many kinds
Our generations inherit common demons of cements
Demons that are part of our norm family ritual
The world was initially disunited by distinct cultural practice
The world lost its magnet through phony religions trials
Our ancestors were misguided by false leaders malpractice
Thus, then elders have led us into the ancient wrong way
Generations are following the nature of the aged past
Some are true theories, some are inverted theories, for men to obey
Demons has blindfolded us, though we see the blast
Ancestors have passed demons from generation to generations
Thus the upcoming generations carries unmerciful demons speculations

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Born Bongumusa Manzini; pen name is Believer Waterson; was born in
KaBokweni, Mpumalanga, South Africa, on August 1, 1998; was raised in a
small village called Phiva in Nkomazi.He was raised by a single mother who
provided him with everything he needed in life—love, support, and
encouragement in his poetry, acting, rapping, and other talents. He is
forever grateful to have her around.

Believer started writing poetry and stories when he was in the seventh
grade. He got the idea after reading Shakespeare’s sonnet 118 and loving
the sound, rhyming schemes, and those old English words like “thy,” “thou,” and “thee,” among other things. When Manzini was in high
school, he started paying more attention because he was exposed to poetry and short stories in literature lessons. That was where all the magic started. He loved English and always learned new words, keeping note books, and working so hard. Bongumusa’s poetry journey was unique because he wasn’t writing for fun—in fact, he doesn’t write for the sake of writing—but rather because poetry is within him—it’s a gift, not a talent—and his poems come as a whisper or daylight dreams and hallucinations, and they are his deep thoughts, fairytales, and prophecies. Even though some were bad, people enjoyed them and told him he had potential. Manzini has written more than 180 poems, 26 stories, and 11 screenplays. Some of his works have been published, but others have not. He has approached numerous national, continental, and international publishers, and while the majority of them were impressed by his work, he was unable to meet their finance proposal packages. He is inspired by authors like William Shakespeare, Arch Hades, and F. Scott Fitzgerald and believes that one day his work will be known worldwide and have great impact.
