New poetry from Mykyta Ryzhykh

the grass will not forgive me for its broken ridges
shoes crunch like bones during еaster
sun rabbits fly around an empty room
and the whole house is covered with mold of memory

drowned animals
smiling animals
flushed people animals
and steak in the supermarket on the shelf

like a bird in a cat’s paws
like a mouse in a cat’s paws
like a kitten in a cat’s paws
like a cat in human hands
I choose death like hyacinth

the sea of flowers dries up and flows away
your flower hands had a secret name

what drowned in blood?
where was I?

who are you?
why did you bring me to the river?

the night flows from the wall like spittle
and I’m drowning in the shadows

the sun spits on the boiled asphalt
my sweat on my skin that misses the wind

the boiling point of our hearts has reached the limit
but I still don’t recognize your real name

everyone wants to sing songs
no one wants to sing songs
blood wants frozen silence
even the birds died in the cemetery
