THE DRIPPY Spoon
There sure are some nice places to eat out in downtown Peoria! Whoo-ee, how far our little town has come in just the past few years! We made reservations to one of the three-star restaurants right on Lake Peoria called The Drippy Spoon because we had heard so much about it from our friends the Handersons, this is a real pricey high-class joint and we were looking forward to it a lot. The big day came, we put on our Sunday best and got dolled up, but when we got to the restaurant and were standing in line (it is a very swank, popular place) I realized I had completely forgotten to put on my incontinence briefs! Imagine my embarrassment! The Drip, as it is known to those in the know, Harry Handerson has let me know, is one of those fancy places that enforce a strict dress code, and they turned us away at the door because I had not come prepared with heavy absorbance. It was mortifying! Especially because Toby and Mark and Sally all had their waterproof, polycloth briefs on and cinched tight! Anyway, it was too late for me to go all the way home for a diaper of my own, and the kind of briefs required at The Drip, well you can not just pick them up at any local pharmacy, the maître d’ there requires customers to look their absolute best, and I was not up to snuff!
Fortunately one quick-thinking waiter pulled me aside and confided that they had a pile of loaner diapers in the cloakroom. I slipped one on, got back in line with my friends, and we were immediately ushered to a table for four overlooking the Peoria Waterfront. Good thing I had that loaner diaper, too, because looking at all that water I promptly pissed my pants!
The food was fantastic, waitstaff super friendly, and they even gave us a free round of wet naps! After the lobster bisque I think we all felt our bowels move contentedly.
