short trip by Theodore Wallbanger

short trip

Fensky Stormhaven was obsessed with every aspect of television.

Authentic passion for this whimsical electronic device
would coarse through various cells of Fensky’s freckled body
to levels where his entire being oozed admiration
for what was considered a buzzing entertainment black hole.

Fensky’s 2017 high school yearbook goal was to transform
into a restored 1977 RCA tubed furniture model spotted
at Ken Crane’s Menagerie of Recycled Crap on Stearns and Byrd.

Multiple failures would crystalize within
the special Humpty Dumpty corpse unit
dispatched to scoop up flesh surge anomalies.

Post-it note arrows spit raged
throughout top-secret embroidered
government notebooks which flagged
Fensky’s offensive oversight in forgetting
to disconnect from his aggressive solar panel city
prior to an earnest commitment with
a futuristic role he would never get the part for.
