Iron Bars of Difficulty by Sushant Thapa

Iron Bars of Difficulty

Empty head,
Heartful of words
That don’t rhyme
Till greater distances.
The sun still shines,
The day has to be carried on
Life needs to be fed,
Every detour needs a safe destination.
I see the road opens
Like a flood gate.
The starving fate
Need working wheels
That are tough
For the vehicle of life.
The moonlight pierces
Like Gregor Samsa’s
Metamorphosed body.
Let the thing
Out of life,
And not be lifeless.
The world lives on
To witness
Death rituals.
Such irony
Licks the iron bars
Of difficulty.
