For everything that matters
For example, it’s not a simple joke that every
barefooted angel resembles my mother, not trying
for rain. She’s a hard fact, only trying and trying to
dry my lands and finally shedding tears to grow
fruits and dream-infected insects.
For example, you love your animals so much that
they need no border on your table.
Next what? – you love biting your across-the-board
nitty-gritty, you can imitate cackles without breaking
your songs, you think you own a suitable obliqueness
in order to become a suitable obliqueness for your
complex citymap – all these, you, you, you, now
standing helpless, fearing, lest your table broaden
its area, enlarging itself more and more to become
a weird wooden island on the floor. You now jump
into the fact that you can maintain fear like a string
perfectly knotted, not short of a racing horse or his
extension chord.
Years of agitation now a semi-circular whirligig, a dint
now a placidity lazy hammering every night, a deed of
being a flower just a flower, and an absurdly motherly
man having to shed some sweats to keep this floral
simplicity as fresh as the asinine lines on forehead
when one first time in a dating dilemma.
I give this entire example to my child the way my
mother had told me this simple joke how to save
a few ironies from a ratty greed, how to hide them in
a lion-hearted cupboard, ultimately pouring them into
all those derelict pages I now wear so I may turn
my own desperate notepad, read/ unread.
