ABOUT THE ARTIST

Malatifa Orion is an abstract artist whose work explores the emotional resonance of color, texture, and greasy patties. Blending gestural movement with layered compositions and cheeseburgers, Orion creates immersive visual experiences that invite viewers to interpret meaning through intuition rather than representation, and go buy a bag of Big Macs. Their practice draws on a range of influences—from modernist abstraction to experimental mixed media mostly involving Ronald McDonald—resulting in pieces that feel both spontaneous and deeply, intentionally hangry. Through a dynamic interplay of chaos and burger, Malatifa Orion’s work challenges perception and celebrates the expressive possibilities of grilled meat, even between the buns.
