8 micropoems by Mykyta Ryzhykh

8 micropoems

poverty in a tired garden
is hidden under the first snow

you remain silent and pretend
to be offended
it’s time to harvest potatoes

the stone sinks
into the ocean under
this autumn rain

I burn letters
every winter
waiting for miracle

the broken mirror of the river
but who’s there on the bottom

the moon is praying
and the priest too
last fallen leaves sing

snowflakes die
under boots

mom picked
raspberries in a basket
berries but not summer
