San Onofre Water Park
In 2013, the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station shut down after over forty years of supplying safe, clean energy to Southern California. Ever on the lookout for investment opportunities, American Plutonium Resorts and Spas, creator of the Three Mile Island Martini and Chernobyl Baby Wipes, acquired the property. After years of remodeling, it’s ready to offer the public the vacation of half-life.
The site of the former nuclear power plant is now the largest amusement park in Southern California. At the San Onofre Water Park, you can fish for three-eyed flounder, enter the Fukushima Fun House, ride the Three Mile Island Thrill Ride, and take part in the Ultimate Surfing Meltdown. After a hard day snack on Cesium Sodas and Chernobyl Churros while soaking in Cherenkov Hot Tubs. And the best news is you don’t have to take your shirt off to get a suntan.
That’s the San Onofre Water Park in Oceanside, California. The EPA calls it a Super Fund but you’ll call it Super Fun!
