GORKO CHEF RAMBO BOLILLO’S FLING IT AGAINST THE WALL TO SEE IF IT IS COOKED SERIES: CHEESY EGG AND POTATO BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

As many fans of Gorko chef Rambo Bolillo’s world-famous cooking show know, as well as being a huge fan of lunches and dinners, he rarely lets a day go by without indulging in a truly complete breakfast. And one of his favorite breakfasts is of course the breakfast casserole: only 10 minutes to prep and 40 minutes fridge to belly, delicious and nutritious, and easy single-pan cleanup! But how do you know if that breakfast casserole is ready?

THROW IT AGAINST THE WALL TO SEE IF IT WILL STICK

It is not just spaghetti that sticks to a wall when cooked. It turns out you can also fling just about any breakfast casserole against the wall. If it sticks to the wall for at least 1 complete second before sliding to the floor, it is ready to eat!

Rambo says: ‘If it just bounces off, you have overcooked the sumuvabitch. And if it slides to the floor immediately, it needs more time in the oven.’

WELL THAT SOUNDS KIND OF MESSY

Rambo replies: ‘Yes, this is why I use Raddy’s kitchen. But believe me, there is no better way to check a breakfast casserole than by flinging it against the wall. Stick a fork in it will tell you nothing in this case.’

DO YOU EXPECT ME TO EAT FOOD OFF THE FLOOR

Rambo says: ‘You got to scrape the breakfast casserole back into the pan before serving. No one will be the wiser. And in fact some kinds of floor gunk can give a casserole the very flavor profile you are looking for, here in the midwest.’
