Every week our Theme Expert, Teddy, goes into detail on a new theme. This week’s theme is UAPs: Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena.
THE TERM IS U.F.O.
Many of you with poetical hearts and not just a little weed obfuscating your dim little brains may have already experienced this week’s theme, UAPs. Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (U.A.P.) is the Pentagon’s latest working acronym for ‘submerged and trans-medium objects,’ replacing the antiquated term Unidentified Flying Object (U.F.O.). UAPs are basically DODspeak for things ye dreamers already know are metaphors; or else literal (yet submerged) elements of high fantasy such as gremlins, unicorns, and unidentified flying objects: dragons, gigantic talking eagles, or undocumented persons on brooms.
NO BUT SERIOUSLY YOU MEAN I HAVE ALREADY BEEN WRITING ABOUT UAPs
UAPs, yes you have! Hate to tell you this, but your poem entitled ‘Identity and Anomaly’ speaks directly to this hazy, ephemeral theme, particularly the famous lines, ‘And darting back and forth / It disappeared into the earth’.
Have you experienced that your poetry has become more sleek and darting, even moving in ways that defies known physics? This may have something to do with the increased UAP activity in the skies above us.
DOES CHARLIE SHEEN CALL THEM UAPS OR UFOS
Charlie spoke to us about this very question last week at his Malibu penthouse, where we were going over his collection of amateur SoCal UFO photographs, all of which he had carefully hand-labelled over the years. ‘So now what am I supposed to do, cross out UFO on every single one?’ he cried to us over the telephone. We reassured him we would come over and help, and as you probably know, help ourselves to some of his fabulous single-malt scotch in the process.
