‘THE GOOSE’ by Anthony Neil Smith

THE GOOSE

For the Goose, the world is its toilet. It shits on dirt, on grass, on pavement. It shits on lakes, rivers, oceans, glaciers. It shits on mountains, shits in valleys. It shits on ancient, majestic cathedrals that took men decades to build. It shits on mud huts and tar paper shacks. It shits on chateaus and McMansions alike. On cars. On boats. It shits on battlefields and peace rallies, international coups, inaugurations, coronations, state fairs, and baseball games. None of this makes The Goose happy, not really. What he really, really wants to do, more than anything else in this wide world, as far as his wings can carry him, is shit on your face.
