THE GORKO’S MISSING SELECTION FOR 28 OCTOBER
POEMS BY MYKYTA RYZHYKH
The young lover of the world-famous singer has only one dream
Go deaf
The desert eats skulls
The sand will swallow everything we hold dear
The ghetto of time sticks to the void
And black birds are knocking on the broken window
The child would like to open the window
But the house has long been destroyed
The child inside would like to open the window
But everything was swallowed up by the ashen desert
Ash sand endlessly falls like leaves
Pumps can’t handle the load
Pumps are no longer able to pump air
Аfter a nuclear explosion
I sacrifice the silence at home to you
Mirrors repeat voices that no longer exist
Echo reflects hopes and imaginary love
Walls and ceilings explode with red veins
I beg you to say a word in the dark and the light will turn on
I haven’t asked you to say the words “I love you” for a long time
All I can do is wait for a sound from someone who won’t come
I can only hear the footsteps of someone who has not entered the room
No one ever knows how to love more than the rain that pours from the
eyes
Not a single cloud except hair is capable of feelings
No thunder and lightning can make a sound
I sacrifice the silence of my home to you but you are silent
