Lenny Hidalgo, a 56-year-old Peoria area factory worker, had a dream of starting over. A high school dropout in 1974, the father of three decided to go back to high school this year and finally finish his degree. Unfortunately for Lenny, times have not changed all that much in forty years. He was immediately subjected to intense verbal and physical abuse from groups of young classmates that had the second-career freshman running back to his demeaning factory job before the lunch bell had even rung.
‘It was even worse the second time,’ he sobbed.
‘Yeah we tripped up the old geezer on the stairs,’ said Peoria West High School bully Melissa, laughing with a group of other bullies, mostly kids from affluent suburban families. ‘He was carrying a cake or something for the principal and it went everywhere. He started to cry and then ran off. Fat idiot.’
The group of millennials inflicted this cruel but important life lesson for free.
